Unable to Join QoreStor Server to Active Directory Domain Due to Internal Error (40016) (4376742)

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:

1. Check System Time:

   • Ensure that the system time is properly synchronized:
     timedatectl

2. Verify Domain Controller Connectivity:

   • Confirm that the QoreStor server can communicate with the domain controller:
     /opt/pbis/bin/get-dc-name domainname

3. List Cache Files:

   • List the files in the /var/lib/pbis/db directory:
     ls -lt /var/lib/pbis/db
   • Look for a cache file related to the domain, such as lsass-adcache.filedb.DOMAINNAME.

4. Remove Corrupted Cache File:

   • Delete the cache file to clear any corrupted data:
     rm /var/lib/pbis/db/lsass*

5. Restart PBIS Service:

   • Restart the lwsmd service to apply the changes:

     systemctl stop lwsmd
     systemctl status lwsmd
     systemctl start lwsmd
     systemctl status lwsmd
     

6. Retry Joining the Domain:

   • Attempt to join the domain using the QoreStor web interface. The issue should now be resolved.
