Description
We have two users who are getting sync errors with the below info.
1: Error: Mailbox copy exception Duplicate Folder exception <FolderName>
2: Error: Mailbox copy exception Error Target folder has been moved to deleted Items folder this folder needs to be purged before migration can continue FolderName : <FolderName>
What is causing and how do we resolve?

Cause
1: Error: Mailbox copy exception Duplicate Folder exception <FolderName>
The product is working a designed. The issue is with the source mailbox.2: Error: Mailbox copy exception Error Target folder has been moved to deleted Items folder this folder needs to be purged before migration can continue FolderName : <FolderName>
The source and target tenants are not aligned Policy-wise. The tenant has a more aggressive policy which is removing the above folder and was soft deleted by the target. -
Resolution
1: Error: Mailbox copy exception Duplicate Folder exception <FolderName>
Search for this folder in the source and correct it. It may be in the root of the mailbox
2: Error: Mailbox copy exception Error Target folder has been moved to deleted Items folder this folder needs to be purged before migration can continue FolderName : <FolderName>
The solution is to either align the source policy with the target tenant or delete and purge the folder listed from the source mailbox.
If the folders are reappearing, other than the folders were not deleted and purged. When you delete the folders in the source and target, make sure to also purge the folders from the mailbox Deleted Items folder
