Using PADB2 with the previous database user enabled that used DB2 & have type 2 connections, it seems to work relatively well. Then he enabled it today for a database that the applications uses Java type 4 connections. SQL does not show for the connections, & the connections also don't show in the 'real time' tab. See attachment.
The current session screen does not show current SQL, and Agent Id
The SQL statement screen does not show anything.
User mentioned that he does not need o/s information but need to see SQL statements.
STATUS
Waiting for a fix with SCDBII-891 on a future release of Foglight Performance Analysis for DB2.
WORKAROUND:
Workaround would be still to allow collecting such sessions.
In order to do so:
Open Agent Administration
Simultaneously press on ALT+CTRL+SHIFT+Q
Click on Support tab (right pane)
Click on the Extended Variables tab
Highlight DB_Allow_Unsupported_Application_Id_Format
Change False to True
Save the changes
A disclaimer to this workaround would be that PA will miss the real remote session start time, as the start time is not a part of the Application ID.
In this case, the Current Time will be stamped by PA as the session start time.
