This is a common workflow for DUA agent:
- DUA is getting deployed or given to users, which basically creates a shortcut in Start menu under Quest, pointing to C:\Program Files (x86)\Quest\On Demand Migration Desktop Update Agent\DesktopUpdateAgent.exe
- once the Migration Admin "switches" user's applications, ODM will create a hidden message is user's mailbox with the list of tasks, that DUA should perform. It'll also send email to user with instructions.
- user will run DUA and it'll access user's mailbox using information in Outlook profile. It's important that Outlook should still point into the source mailbox, otherwise DUA won't find anything and will produce "no tasks" error
- the first screen is initialization, where DUA will read the target email/UPN and popup dialog window with this UPN, then will ask for a password in the target tenant
- user will provide a password and DUA will show a screen with steps, each one requiring user to press Next, where it'll try to close, reconfigure, then reopen switched application (Outlook, MS 365 License, OneDrive, Teams). User should act accordingly when switched application will ask for authentication in the target tenant.
