Description
Is the On Demand Migration (ODM) time zone set to be local to the User’s time zone who is logging in? We have people logging in from different zones and want to make sure we get our migration's scheduling done in sync. -
Resolution
The On Demand Migration (ODM) tool gets the local timezone from the web browser being used.So a different, local time will be displayed for different users who are accessing the UI of the tool at the same time. For example if for someone in eastern time it is 5:00 pm then if someone located in pacific time accesses the UI of the tool too at that moment then those same events and tasks will display as 2:00 pm for that pacific user.Behind-the-scenes it's all recorded and tracked in UTC time. And then time adjustments made that are appropriate for the local time zone of the user accessing the tool.
