ODM AD: How to reduce the wait time for a device to register. -
Description
Is there a way to reduce the Polling Interval (after the AD agent talks to the web service) so we don't need to wait four hours for devices to register and show up in the 'Ready Devices'? -
Resolution
You can adjust the below registry key:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432NODE\Quest\On Demand For Active Directory\ODMAD_AD\PollIntervalSeconds
Things to consider:- The change will be temporary.
- The value will be set back to default later (to prevent possible overload of the system) but it allows you to register much faster.
- This value is in seconds. Make sure to change it to be in Decimal (not Hex) and change to to 300 to make it 5 minutes.
- Important: You need to restart the agent for the change to take effect.
