Migration Error: "Target mailbox is locked by xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Another migration process is taking place in parallel." -
Description
We haven't run any mailbox migrations in many days. However somehow the mail migration we are currently attempting fails with error:
target mailbox is locked by xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Another migration process is taking place in parallel. -
Cause
a hung/stuck previous mail migration task. It could be from a process that you had clicked on to Stop long ago that is stuck in a "stopping" status in the UI dashboard. -
Resolution
Look for any still-running mail migration tasks and stop them. If the task(s) continues to say "Stopping" but not "stopped", log a case/SR with Support so that the task can be stopped from the back-end system. Provide the diagnostic information for the task(s) which require a remediation
