Log Context is further information that can be obtained from NetVault log entries by drilling-down into messages that are contained in the log.
In the NetVault Logs window, the leftmost column is the "Warning Level" column. It displays the warning level of all entries with different coloured icons, depending on severity. Some of the icons in this column will contain a "Bang" ("!") mark or character, signifying that further information (Log Context) can be viewed by double-clicking it.
To display the log context in a seperate pop-up window, double-click on any log entry icon which contains a "Bang" mark. This can be particularly useful when troubleshooting hardware errors, as all SCSI command and response will be listed in the context.
As an aside, the log context information isn't included to text log. For this reason it is essential that BINARY logs are provided when requesting support. Please refer to the knowledgebase article "How to Generate a Binary Log".
