Description: This document explains why some jobs may not appear in the Overnight Job Summary report and what can be done to rectify this.

Symptoms:

The "Overnight Job Summary" report does not report on all jobs run within the last day. For example if the report is run at midday any backup jobs run before 8pm the previous day do not show on the report output.

The reason for this is because the components that make up the Overnight Job Summary report only look 16 hours back from the current time. It was assumed that the report would be run automatically in the morning and 16 hours would catch all the backup jobs run the previous night.

If this is not desirable and 24 hours would be preferrable then follow the procedure below to modify the components of the report to look back up to 24 hours.

1. Open up the Netvault GUI
2. From the "Operations" drop-down menu select "Reports"
3. Right click on "Overnight Job Summary" and select "Edit / View Job"
4. Locate "Job History" from the "Available components" list and double click on it

The next steps need to be repeated for each of these components:
* Count of Data Stored in Overnight Jobs
* Count of Failed Overnight Backup Jobs
* Count of Overnight Backup Jobs Finished With Warnings
* Count of Successful Overnight Backup Jobs
* Failed Overnight Backup Jobs

5. Right click on the component and select "Edit/View component..."
6. Find "Start systime" and single click on it to select it.
7. If the view type is "Simple filter view" then click on the "Edit" button. If view type is "Advanced filter tree view" then right click on "Start systime" and select "Edit expression".
8. Change the value "NOW-16HO" to read "NOW-24HO" and click the "OK" button
9. Click on the "Save" button to save the component

Repeat steps 5 to 9 for all the components listed above.

10. Finally click on the "Save" button to save the job.

This will now look back one whole day when deciding which jobs it should include on the report.
