Unable to use full capacity of LTO2 Tape drive -
Description
Checked med Media Management Window the taps are full with 100% But only 52.22 GB Data. But LTO can store up to 200GB without compression.
Ran backup test to tape drive using tar 150 GB data using following commands and the backup worked.
# mt –f /dev/st0 status
# mt –f /dev/st0 rewind
# mt –f /dev/st0 setblk 0
# tar –cvf /dev/st0 file_to_be_backed_up
Note if this happens on windows use NT backup to run a similar test
