While upgrading NetVault the operation fails with a pop up message:
"Library libnv6winevt.dll is in use"
When NetVault is upgraded the installer stops the NetVault Process Manager service then deletes some files before replacing them.
Some times on Windows, some .dll files may remain locked by other processes.
1) Stop the NetVault Process Manager service manually
2) Using Windows Task Manager check that there are no NetVault process: 'nv***.exe' processes left.
3) Try to rename or move 'C:\WINDOWS/system32/libnv6winevt.dll'. Note: on 64 bit systems the file would be located in the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ directory
If this is successful please attempt the upgrade which should now work.
4) If the OS doesn't allow you to access the .dll file then a reboot is the only option to proceed
