Oracle RMAN job fails; NetVault logs the following warnings and errors -
RMAN-03002: failure of restore command at 11/10/2011 12:46:20
ORA-27192: skgfcls: sbtclose2 returned error - failed to close file
ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text:
Read from backup piece complete.
ORA-19870: error reading backup piece hll:#371:hllepddev:612_766598635:RMAN FULL DB EPD_1320660599
ORA-27091: unable to queue I/O
ORA-27072: File I/O error
IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 9: Bad file number

Cause
Oracle failed to read/write data to or from the backup piece due an I/O error.
