After migrating the Netvault BU server from a Windows OS to a Linux the global email notification stopped working with the following error message logged.
'Script file does not exist: /usr/netvault/scripts/users\mail.bat'
Not clear what is caused this but it looks that we are trying to use windows version (.bat) of the mail script instead of the unix version (.sh). In no where do users have to configure the path of required path. In this case the user did restore the notfications as part of the database restore.
Open the NVBU admin GUI and in global notifcation, turn off any notification set in here. Make a note of them as you will need to turn them on again. Do not forget to save and quit after the changes. If any notifcations are set on the user level do turn them off too. In global notification (in nvconfigurator) remove all entries. Turn back on all the notifications and reconfigurator the mail server and email details on the netvault configurator.
