A new library with one or more drives has been attached to the Netvault server using a Fiber connection but while the drives can be seen in Netvault Device Management the library itself cannot be seen to be added.
The lib can also not be seen in the OS device manager. This is therefore a problem at the OS level and not with Netvault.
If fiber attached it's normal for the Library changer and the drive in it's first drive bay to both be on one Fiber card. It may well be the case that both the Lib and the first drive have picked up the same LUN id. The OS has communicated first with the drive on this ID so the Lib is now invisible. Iy may also be a problem due to incorrect cabling. Contact the hardware vendor.
