1/ find out what hardware (make/model) is netvault running on, how many cpu’s does it have and what type of CPU does the system have?
2/ On netvault server type the obtain the output from the following commands:
# iostat -c
# /usr/netvault/nvmemusage
# free -m
# cat /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax
# cat /proc/sys/kernel/shmall
# cat /etc/sysctl.conf
# cat /proc/cpuinfo
3/ get copy of the /var/log/messages file
4/ to check the size of the media and schedule database in megabytes we need to use the following commands:
# cd …/netvault/db
# du –sm MediaDatabase
# du –sm ScheduleDatabase
5/ In configurator get screenshots of the following tabs showing all options:
Process manager
Media manager
GUI
Logging daemon
