ndd -set /dev/tcp tcp_keepalive_interval 3000000

Default Value: 7200000 milliseconds (2 hours)


AIX TCP_KEEPIDLE

no -o tcp_keepidle=600

Edit /etc/rc.net to permanently configure this setting.


-Linux TCP_KEEPALIVE_INTVL

To see the current value type this:

sysctl: |grep tcp_keepalive

The default value of 75 seconds should not require changing; however it can be configured in sysctl.conf.
