NetVault 13.0.3 Restore, Data Copy and Backup Verification Jobs from RDA Devices hang with no data being restored or copied (4044919)

When using NetVault 13.0.3 RDA Devices with DR Appliances or QoreStor 6.1 (or earlier), you may experience restore or data copy or backup verification job failures.

The issue can manifest with:

• Restore Job
• Data Copy Job
• The Verification step of a Backup Job
  These will appear to hang and not show progress, no data will be restored or copied. Eventually, these jobs will timeout and fail.

Who is not affected:

• Customers using NetVault 13.0.3 with QoreStor 7.x are not affected.

Who is affected:

• Customers using NetVault 13.0.3 with DR Appliances.
• Customers using NetVault 13.0.3 with QoreStor 6.1 or earlier.

RDA plugin version 13.0.3.7.
This issue has been identified with Defect ID # NV-2133.

1. If you are using QoreStor as a backup target, this problem can be resolved by upgrading QoreStor to version 7.1.1
2. If you are using a DR Appliance as a backup target, please follow the workaround steps below.
3. If the QoreStor server cannot be upgraded to 7.1.1, please follow the workaround steps below.

Workaround

1. Remove the RDA Library installer version 13.0.3.7
   
2. Download the updated RDA plugin version 4.1.0 from QoreStor Downloads found under the "RDA with NetVault Backup plugin" section.
   Note: The team is working on libraries for non-Windows/Linux systems.
