SQL Server plugin fails to compress “Transparent Data Encryption” (TDE) during backup
Description

“Transparent Data Encryption” (TDE) was enabled and backup increased in size. This is because the plugin failed to compress.
Cause

This is caused by defect DNPSS-1042
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
No workaround available at this time
STATUS:
Issue fixed in version 12.2. The latest version of Quest NetVault Backup Plug-in
for SQL Server 12.2 can be downloaded here
