Date - May 2008
Affected Product & Version - NVBU 8.0
Affected Module & Version - APM for Oracle (Version 5.5)
OS Version - any
Application Information - Oracle 10.0.2.x
Symptoms:
When looking at the restore options: Backup contents of an RMAN controlled backup the database name is listed as "Oracle Database TODO" instead of the SID name.
Database - Oracle Database TODO
Backup Piece name c-234546536-2008-06-01-02
Oracle Tag: c-234546536-20080601-02
Oracle Timestamp: N/A
Originator: RMAN controlled backup.
The DBID can be identified from the backup piece name, "c-234546536-2008-06-01-02", the number after the "c-" and before the next "-" is the DBID (in this case "234546536"), this can then be used to identify the SID of the database.
The DBID is also listed with the Database name (SID) in:
1) The restore window, backup contents screen of the parent Netvault RMAN job (Oracle APM 5.5 and later only).
2) The Netvault Log of the parent Netvault RMAN backup job.
3) In the backup window - right click on the database and select "View details" (Oracle APM 5.5 and later only).
