Title
DR devices go offline with “RDA load library failed. Please check vendor's platform requirement” after upgrade to 12.4. -
Description
After an upgrade to 12.4 on a linux machine, RDA containers appear offline. When attempting to remove and readd, the following error appears “RDA load library failed. Please check vendor's platform requirement”

Cause
One possible cause is that the RDA plugin was installed manually in the past and the built in RDA plugin in 12.4 is not in use.

Resolution
- Stop the NetVault services
/usr/netvault/etc/startup.sh stop
- Search for the RDA packages.
For example run command ‘rpm -qa | grep RDS’ this will search for all packages containing RDS.
rpm -qa | grep RDS
QuestRDSPlugin-x86_64-4.0.3049-65187.x86_64
QuestRDSPlugin-i386-4.0.3049-65187.i386
In the above example, we would be removing two packages.
- remove the existing installations of RDA plugins.
rpm -e --nodeps <package name>
rpm -e --nodeps QuestRDSPlugin-x86_64-4.0.3049-65187.x86_64
rpm -e –nodeps QuestRDSPlugin-i386-4.0.3049-65187.i386
- Confirm existing RDA is uninstalled by searching for the RDS
rpm -qa | grep RDS
- After removing the plug-in, complete the following steps:
1. Ensure that the /usr/local/oca-libs directory has been removed. If not, remove the
directory.
2. To create a symbolic link, type the following command:
ln -sf /usr/netvault/dynlib/oca-libs /usr/local/oca-libs
- Start the NetVault services
/usr/netvault/etc/startup.sh start
