NetVault Exchange plugin version 4.6.8
NetVault server is on 64 bit linux/unix.
Exchange Password is greater than 7 characters.
The trace shows the following errors:
Send error reply: 'Incorrect Login details specified. Check if the authentication details provided are correct and have Backup/Restore privileges.'
0 EXCHUTIL 8600 929 0 124656644650 Failed to log into domain with error (1326): Registration Failed:
"Unknown User Name or Bad Password"
Event log shows:
---> System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryServicesCOMException (0x8007052E):
"Unknown User Name or Bad Password"
This is a known issue and will be fixed in the next release of the Exchange plugin.
If the password is greater than 7 characters, then the NV server does not send it correctly.
At this time, the workaround is to make the password 7 characters or less.
