Description: Jobs are not run on their schedules. They either run before the Scheduled NetVault Job time or after the Scheduled NetVault Job time.
Jobs not run on their scheduled time frame within that jobs schedule. Verify that the Server time is either using the same time server as the clients. Or that the Server itself is the time keeper.
To check the time, use the, “bonedate”, command. The command "bonedate" can be used to see what time the server is set on.
Below are directions for SNAP Operating Systems as well as Windows/Linux/UNIX operating systems.
For SNAP customers:
On the NetVault Server machine (SNAP) start a putty session or get into the Operating system command line and browse to the NetVault Dir.
The following command "bonedate" will be in the directory of NetVault.
You can use the txtconfig in NetVault", to setup time synchronization.
When you open the txtconfig hit "p" for page and it will display a list of options. We will want to take a look at the Time Sync. Here you can setup the NetVault Server (SNAP) as the BakBone time server (keeper).
The options within the txtconfig are
p for page
s for save
q for quit
Windows/Linux/UNIX
You can go into the NetVault Configurator and setup the NetVault Server to be the main Time keeper. This will allow all other NetVault client machines to sync with the NetVault server.
On your clients you will then simply need to change the Time Sync to Sync with the BakBone Server. These changes can be made in the NetVault GUI in Client management. Simply right click on each machine and choose the option "Config". And go to the "Time Sync" tab and make your changes.
It might be that you are running off of Network time. And the Servers themselves are either incorrect or the Network time is incorrect.
