Description: Customer always gets two emails when running reports. One for having the report emailed and the other email from Global Notification letting you know the report job ran successfully.
Symptoms: Always receives two emails when a report job is run
Instead of using Global Notifications for 'Job' and 'Job finished' or 'Job completed successfully'; use Job-User Defined notification.
Create an Advanced Options set with the 'Events' section filled out for "Raise Event if Job is Successful", "Raise Event if Job Completes with Warnings" and "Raise event if Backup Fails". Save this Advanced Options set with the 'Save As' button at the bottom of the screen.
Then Modify all backup jobs to use that Advanced Options Set by doing a 'Load' of that Advanced options set and re-submitting all your backup jobs
Then, in Global Notifications you will find the Job -User Defined Notifications that you created on the job. Set them to have sysop email sent for just those events, and then deselect emails being sent under Jobs.
