Description
When selecting the entire DAG of an Exchange Server 2010 for backup, the NetVault backup Job fails intermittently.
Error 2011/08/29 22:43:59 2690 Data Plugin VM-WINMSG3 Aborting the stream for database CCMDB5 due to failure.
When selecting individual databases of an Exchange Server 2010 DAG for backup, the NetVault backup Job completes successfully.

Cause
The Amount of Maximum Free Space to Create a Shadow Copy on the Shadow Copies Settings of the Exchange Server Machine, was insuficient:
- The Exchange Server APM Backup backing up the whole DAG would starts,
- Successfully complete the Shadow Copy,
- Successfully complete the Consistency Check,
- Successfully starts backing several Exchange Server Databases,
- The Backup Job would then fail intermittently with:
- "Data Plugin VM-WINMSG3 Aborting the stream for database 'XXXXXX' due to failure."

Resolution
Increasing the Amount of Maximum Free Space to Create a Shadow Copy on the Shadow Copies Settings of the Exchange Server Machine, allowed the backup of the whole DAG to complete successfully .
The correct value of the increment can only be determined by trial and error depending on the environment.
