How do I know which package installer to use the 32/64Hybrid or 64Pure package?

Cause
You can use these commands when you need to know if package Pure or Hybrid should be used, and you don’t have a clue of what is the netvault version installed. -
Resolution
There are two Linux installers:
NetVault Backup Server Installation for Linux x86 (32/64 Hybrid)
Please use the steps below to find out if your netvault install is running on 32 bits or 64 bits.1. Check the netvault PID, running the following command:
ps -ef | grep netvault
example:
[root@Jerrika ~]# ps -ef | grep netvaultroot 3423 1 0 2014 ? 00:00:07 /usr/netvault/bin/nvpmgr startuproot 8385 8360 0 08:39 pts/1 00:00:00 grep netvaultNetvault proccess manager ID is 34232. Then you can run:
file -L /proc/PID/exe
Output looks like:
[root@Jerrika ~]# file -L /proc/3423/exe
/proc/3423/exe: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.2.5, stripped
It means the netvault version running is 32 bits and Hybrid installer should be used.

Additional Information
Installation guide> page 15> The pure 64-bit packages cannot be used to upgrade existing pure 32-bit or hybrid NetVault Backup installations. You must remove the existing pure 32-bit or hybrid version and install the pure 64-bit version separately. To reduce confusion, warning messages have been added to both the upgrade and installation packages to ensure that you understand that they are not compatible.
