Cannot unload or label single tapes in standalone drives using NVBU 10.0.0.46 Web UI -
Description
Using NVBU 10.0.0.46 Web UI, there are no buttons or menus to allow UNLOAD and LABEL operations.

Cause
This is a product defect in 10.0.46 investigated under Bug 26504 which will be resolved as part of NVBU 10 first maintenance release. -
Resolution
Status:
This defect will be resolved in NVBU 10 first maintenance release.
Workaround:
To unload a tape from a standalone drive you can use the nvdeviceeject CLI command.
To label blank tapes in a standalone drive use the nvlabelmedia command.
All CLI utilities are under:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Quest Software\NetVault Backup\util" for Windows or "/usr/netvault/util" for Linux.
Here is an example of workaround using NVBU 10.0.0.46 to unload a tape, insert a new one, blank it and label it :
1) To unload a tape from a standalone drive you can use the nvdeviceeject CLI command as directed in this KB:https://support.quest.com/netvault-backup/kb/126099
Example: nvdeviceeject -devicename "LTO-6"
2) After inserting a new tape, go to NVBU 10 UI and verify the new tape is now detected in the drive.Since nvdeviceeject was used to unload the drive, any newly inserted tape header should be automatically read by NVBU.If the new tape is not detected, click CHECK so the drive is forced to read the new tape header and display the correct tape.If the UI command does not help discovering the new tape, use the nvcheckdrive CLI command:nvcheckdrive -servername <NVBU name of server controlling the drive> -drivename <drive name as seen in NVBU>3) Blank should work from the UI but can also be achieved using the nvblankmedia command:nvblankmedia -servername <NVSERVER> -medialabel "NVSERVER 28 May 11:48-1"4) As for labeling a BLANK tape in a Standalone drive using the NV10 Web UI, since the functionality is currently missing, use the nvlabelmedia command:There are currently limitations to this utility with standalone drives, as it was designed for tape libraries.There must be only 1 BLANK tape at a time in NVBU for this to work.If there are several BLANK tapes in a VTL/Library, unload all drives and momentarily open these libraries doors from NVBU.If there is another standalone drive with another BLANK tape in, offline one the drive from NVBU.The goal is to have only 1 BLANK tape in the standalone drive required.Once we have made sure there is only one BLANK tape online, run the below command which will apply to the only device remaining online with a BLANK tape:nvlabelmedia -medialabel BLANK -newlabelname "Thursday" -
