An example of this scenario:
NetVault Database is about 15GB (Media DB 13GB + Schedule DB 2GB)
NetVault Logs directory is 4GB.
The reason for this very long upgrade process is a fault with the upgrade due to the size of the NetVault logs. It has been found that any NetVault Server with a Logs directory located in ~NVHOME Directory\Logs~ that is over 2GB will be affected by this issue. This is as defect BUG-26428 and is planned to be fixed on the next release.
1. Create a " new_log" directory"
2. Copy all of the log files from the “log” directory to this new directory
3. Delete all files in the existing log files in the "log" directory, do not delete the "log" directory.
4. Upgrade to NVBU 10 - Once the upgrade is finished that you can copy the files from the "new_log" directory to the "log" directory
5. Delete the "new_log" directory.
