While upgrading NetVault, the upgrade process fails with the following error messages:

Error: There has been an error.
Setup has detected an existing installation of NetVault Backup, but failed to determine its diagnostic tracing settings. Please contact Quest Support.

Upgrading after a fresh install of NetVault followed by an NVDB restore produces the same error.
To resolve this issue, please use the attached tracing.cfg file to replace the corrupt one on your system.
You may also install the same NetVault version for the same OS on another machine and copy the file over.
