Customer had backed up a physical client using an older version of BMR plugin (pre 3.x) several years ago, and over time had upgraded the plugin to 4.x, but had not performed another backup of the client using this version of the plugin.
Upon restoration attempt of old backup using the newer client, restoration failed, stalling and causing NVDR.exe application crashes.
The client was backed up using online method, and was attempted to be restored using the Windows PE based boot disc.
The only possible workaround currently is to get the customer to downgrade their BMR plugin back to an older version (pre 3.x) on the NetVault server, and create the Linux based older VaultOS ISO.
They can then restore the image.
Advise any customers who upgrade this plugin to immediately take backups of their clients.
