Backup of Exchange VM using the exchange plugin fails with “Process running on 'Exchange Server' has exited unexpectedly” -
Description
In the binary log we see the NetVault server report “Process running on 'Exchange Server' has exited unexpectedly” and the more info found within this error reports “The NetVault agent performing the job has exited unexpectedly”. This means that the NetVault server has lost communication to the exchange plugin process on the exchange server and the NetVault server believes this process has crashed for some reason and fails the job.
The binary log then reports “consistency check successful for database file of MailboxDB01” and this is reported by the exchange plugin on the exchange server. This happens after the job has failed with job manger believing that the exchange plugin process had crashed incorrectly.
