Netvault logs do not show any specific Warnings or Errors involving the Smartdisk device.
Running the commands;
\foundation\bin\smartdisk.bat config --show
Yielded the following message that repeats itself.
ation/source/libraries/essentials/context.c:444 - Failed assertion: bSuccess
Checking Device Manager and right clicking the Smartdisk > Status we see that the Smartdisk is unlicensed.
Also machine ID is now different from the original one on record.
When a smartdisk backup is in a Stalled state:
- check license is still valid in Device Manager > right click Smartdisk > Status
Hardware change can cause the machine ID to change.
- check whether the Stage area has not run out of space
- reaching the soft stream limit (number of streams backing up to NVSD) can cause the transfers to NVSD to stall. (By default the stream limit is 8).
