Issue
I ran a migration last night and it failed, indicating the following message. Any ideas what would cause this to happen?
! Error: Error encountered Getting Body (Memory exception) - Out of memory.
! Error: Critical failure, aborting migration

Patty O'Furniture Migration Failed
Solution
4.6.2.1 and higher versions allowed for larger message sizes. These limits are now increased to 125MB for a single attachment and 150MB for total attachments.
Additionally there is a new process to handle large attachments in this version which can be configured in the 'Settings' document on the 'Other Settings' tab for Process attachments greater than x MB as files.
This new processing method should be used in cases where a migration worker reports the Memory Exception error. Options for this setting can be reviewed in the Notes Migrator documentation but generally 5MB is a good setting for this.
Note: for the Memory Exception error this can occur at attachment sizes of 90MB and higher depending on the migration workstation specifications and configuration of other software components.
4.0 has been hard coded to prevent attachments over 100 MB from being migrated, so the above steps are not needed
If CMTe 3.8.x or lower runs into a problem with a large and/or corrupt document, CMTe will abort the migration, stop processing and return “Migration Failed” to the Migration Control Center (MCC), if an ‘Out of Memory’ error occurs during the migration.
The migration can be re-queued by the migration administrator, and the migration will skip the document which caused the ‘out of memory’ error. This document will not be included in the migrated data.
Notes Migrator supports messages up to 100 MB in size.
To prevent this from happening, edit the migration profile document.
Add the following value (no commas, or periods) 104857600 (100 MB) to both the "Individual attachment size limit" and "Attachment total size limit" fields
Save the migration profile.
This will prevent the memory error, and allow the message to be migrated, without the 100+ MB attachment(s). Text will be added to the message body, stating the attachment was removed from the migrated message. This does not remove the attachment from the source message.
End users can sort their Notes mail view by file size, and either detach the attachment(s) to their hard drive, or forward them to their Exchange or O365 mailbox.
