How to map one field in Notes to another in SharePoint
Description
How can we map the notes fields to a custom field in Lotus Notes?
Resolution
You must first have a basic understanding of how the Migrator for Notes to SharePoint tool works. If you do not, please review our documentation and videos on http://support.quest.com.
To map a field do the following steps:
Open the Migrator for Notes to SharePoint Designer (or console and job the job file)
On the Notes tab make sure you have a database selected
Click Create on the Source Data Definition section
Click Data Fields
Click Select items and columns
Expand Database Items and check off the fields you wish to map to
Click Ok twice
Click the SharePoint tab and make sure your Site URL and List name are filled out
Click Create on the Target Data Definition section
Click Data Fields
If the list already exists in SharePoint then you can click Load from Source Fields, if not click add
Configure the field options on the right hand side to reflect how you want the field to be in SharePoint keeping in mind it must match the data style of your source Notes field (if it is a date field make this a date field, if it is a text field make this a text field, etc)
Repeat steps 10 and 11 as needed then click Ok
Click the Map Data tab
If you had set up the AutoMap option in steps 10/11 then you can click the Auto Map button to map the fields you set up in those steps. Otherwise, you can click Add, choose the Notes field in the Source Definition feild box and the matching SharePoint field in the Map To box and click Ok.
Repeat Step 15 as need
Configure any other options you wish in the tool and test your migration
