'Delay Load image cannot be extracted' is shown instead of the embedded picture

When migrating a Lotus Notes document to SharePoint that contain embedded images.  The migrated document in SharePoint is missing the embedded images.  However, the embedded image is replaced with the text [Delay Load image cannot be extracted] in SharePoint.
Note: When opening the migrated document in the Notes Client you will notice a slight delay until the embedded image is displayed.  

Display images after loading was unchecked but the document was not saved.

 

The Lotus C API used by MNSP has a limitation that does not allow for extracting images from $File.  When Display images after loading is enabled inline images get moved into $File on the Notes records.

An image was not extracted correctly.  This may indicate a corrupted Notes document or an image that was saved in a way that we could not extract.  Please try unchecking the "Display images after loading" database property, editing and resaving the document.

 

If there are a lot of images to modify, you may want to consider creating a Notes Agent to process these documents. Support is unable to assist in creating this agent due to the complexity of environments and risks involved.
