When migrating a Lotus Notes user's personal address book to Outlook, the large distribution list is broken into parts.
This is a Microsoft limitation as described in Microsoft Knowledge base article 238569
The growth of the Distribution List is as such that if the user sends mail to the initial Distribution List created, mail will be sent correctly to all members as desired. As the subsequently created Distribution List (Part #) is member of previously created Distribution List.
For example, if a distribution list were created based on this limitation:
The first Distribution List will contain a set amount of contacts and Distribution List (part 2) as a member and so forth.
