When running the Merge process up to Office 365 and the proxy address list contains a subdomain of the registered domain, the process might throw up some errors in the logs if the subdomain is not registered as part of the Office 365 setup.
For example, if a subdomain named notes.mycompany.tld is not registered with Office 365 and only mycompany.tld is part of the registered domain, then when the Merge process is run the following error will appear in the logs:
AdFwd::PSHSetMailbox() - PowerShell Result: ErrorId: 2104D8FC
Error: You can't use the domain notes.mycompany.com because it's not an accepted domain for your organisation.
DEBUG: ErrorId: 2104D8FC
If the proxy address contains a completely different domain; for example othercompany.tld, no Error occurs but simply a Warning and the process continues. The following message will appear in the logs:
WARNING: [7463-1-285-00000000] Proxy address 'smtp:Username@othercompany.com' contains an SMTP domain not listed in the accepted domains within the target system.
GetValid365ProxyAddresses
This issue is caused by a bug in the current version of NME [4.5.1 - 4.5.4] and will be fixed in a future release.
WORKAROUND
Do not use the subdomain alias in the TSV. This can be edited out or replaced with another domain which will fail gracefully.
STATUS
Waiting for fix in the future release of Notes Migrator for Exchange.
