During the migration of large mail files, the error count may increase significantly and the following error may be seen in the log:
14:05:12 ERROR: [4951-33-9-00001C63] Unable to migrate message: Note ID 0005BC32
14:05:12 NSFNoteOpen[Ext]:
14:05:12 The remote server is not a known TCP/IP host.
Subsequent to this error, no further items are migrated.
Intermittent network issues.
In certain environments, you may work around this environmental problem by creating Notes connection documents pointing to each Domino server that is hosting mailfiles in the Notes client the migration server running Notes Migrator for Exchange:
1- Open the Notes client on the NME server
2- Open the Contacts
3- Open the Advanced View
4 -Select New -> Server Connection
- Basics tab -> Connection type: Local Area Network
- Basics tab -> Use LAN Port: TCP/IP
- Basics tab -> Server Name: Domino servername
- Advanced tab -> Only from location(s): *
- Advanced tab -> Only for user: *
- Advanced tab -> Usage priority: Normal
- Advanced tab -> Destination server address: IP address of Domino server
5- Select save and close
The steps above need to be repeated for every Domino server hosting mail files.
