How can I run the Migrator for Notes to Exchange (MNE) PowerShell cmdlets remotely?
You can run the MNE PowerShell cmdlets remotely by creating a remote PowerShell session to another workstation where MNE is completely installed using the following steps:
1. Open PowerShell as Administrator
2. Enter the following command to initiate a remote PowerShell session with the MNE migration server:
3. Enter the following command to import the MNE PowerShell cmdlets:
4. Enter the following command to get a list of available MNE cmdlets:
Get-Command -Module Quest.MNE.Powershell
Note: If you need to import/export files when using the cmdlets, you may need to map a drive to the remote MNE migration server.
If the above steps do not provide the necessary functionality, then you will need to install the complete MNE package on the workstation where you want to run the MNE cmdlets locally. Once MNE is installed, the SQL Server settings screen in the MNE Migration Manager will need to be configured, which will import the rest of your existing MNE configuration information. You will then be able to run the MNE PowerShell cmdlets locally on this new MNE migration server.
