Mail delivery delayed when migrating from Exchange 2000/2003 to Exchange 2007/2010/2013 -
Description
Messages sent to the target domain or redirected using the targetAddress attribute, using the target.local suffix are delayed for approximately 15 minutes but will eventually succeed.
Queued messages (using the target.local suffix) will be evident on the outgoing delivery queue of the source bridgehead server.
Review of the SMTP logs will show that the target server is advertising the XEXCH50 verb (see example screenshot).
