When creating a new Public Folder Synchronization Collection you receive a dialogue box displaying "Cannot open the public folders." when you try to select the Public Folders to synchronize.
Upon reviewing the emwmigration.log file the following lines are displayed.
Error: (Source: CMBMConn::TryGetAutoDiscoverSettings| Number: 6307 - Failed to get user 'ServiceAccount@domain.com' settings using Autodiscover.)
Error: (Source: CMBMConn::Session| Number: -2147215278 - Cannot create MAPI Session object.)
During the collection creation process the Migration Manager Console uses autodiscover to get the connection information for the exchange server to logon to the administrative mailbox that was specified earlier in the colleciton wizard and get the public folder tree. A couple lines up in the emwmigration.log file it displays the URL that was used to try to connect to.

Second open up your web browser and copy the URL "https://autodiscover.domain.com/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml" into the address bar.
