Quest Software Support recommends to avoid changing any of the Service Account passwords midst migration. This applies to both Migration Manager for Active Directory and Exchange. Doing so will result in a disruption of the migration process and potentially unexpected results or behavior may be encountered. It is recommended to set all Service Account passwords to never expire within Active Directory.
If any of the Service Account passwords have already been changed prior to the review of this article or if there is an upcoming requirement to change the any of the Service Account passwords, this article provides a step-by-step process to correctly do so.
The following procedure only applies to Migration Manager Version 8.14 and above.
