Using MFCMAPI without knowing a server address directly, and with no autodiscover options, it can be difficult to connect to a user mailbox within Office 365 to obtain properties and obtain information. The below method can be utilized to connect to an Office 365 mailbox using MFCMAPI -
Resolution
To connect to an Office 365 mailbox using MFCMAPI, perform the following:
1) Utilize an Outlook profile wizard to use its autodiscover capabilities and create an Outlook profile for the Office 365 account (It is recommended that this is done on a workstation that is not involved with QMM whatsoever.).
2) Once Outlook has loaded the profile, enter Account Settings, select the Office 365 account, and select Change
3) Ensure Cached Exchange Mode is checked
4) Finish the wizard, and restart Outlook if prompted
5) Once mailbox content fully loads in Outlook, close Outlook and run MFCMAPI
6) Select Session > Logon , and leverage the profile created by Outlook in the previous steps
7) Double click the user's email account, expand Root - Mailbox, and expand IPM_SUBTREE
8) Find the desired folder or object, right click, and export data as needed
