Calendar Synchronization Agent running on a source or target server is unable to logon to both source and target organizations at the same time due to environment restrictions like firewall, trust etc.
Mail Source Agent running on source server and Mail Target Agent running on target server work fine locally, but do not synchronize Calendars. Is it possible to use mail agents only without calendar sync and still be able to synchronize calendar folder in the mailbox?
There is a possible workaround, but it has some limitations. Mail synchronization is one-way only so if a Mail Source Agent is configured to synchronize appointments, it will do that only in one direction - from source to target. Any new appointments added in target mailboxes will not synchronize back to source.
Use the following procedure to have Mail Source Agent synchronize calendar appointments. This change can be made using the following procedure:
In Migration Manager select Tools | Options | Additional parameters for agent configuration files (see Additional Information section of solution).
Add the parameter SyncCalendarFolder with a value of 1 (one) for the Mail Source agent.
This change will be applied to all MSA agents in the environment. If only one server needs to be affected, connect to \\servername\qmmex$servername$ share, browse to Mail Source Agent folder and edit the parameter in the .ini file.
Please note thatsubsequently refreshing or updating server properties within the console will overwrite manual changes in the .ini file if these settings are also specified within the additional parameters options described above.
If the Additional parameters for agents configuration files tab is not displayed, run Registry Editor on the Migration Manager Console computer and open the following registry key: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Aelita\Migration Manager\CurrentVersion\Exchange Data. Add a new DWORD Value named ShowAdditionalParameters. Double-click the ShowAdditionalParameters value and type 1 in the Value data field. Click OK and close Registry Editor. If the console is on a 64-bit system then the registry would be HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Aelita\Migration Manager\CurrentVersion\Exchange Data
