The Service File Viewer (SFV) cannot connect to the target server which is a Exchange 2007 (E2K7) Cluster Continuous Replication (CCR) homed on a Windows 2008 (W2K8) server. The following pop-up message (example) is received.
QMM for Exchange Service File Viewer
Error: 53 'The network path was not found.'
Starting with Quest Migration Manager (QMM) for Exchange 8.3 and W2K8 E2K7 CCR cluster there is no longer Qmmex$Ex_virtual_server$ share on any of the cluster nodes as it is not required by the new cluster handling logic. This causes the SFV to fail when trying to connect as the SFV has not been modified to check for the new share name.
The following is a work around for the SFV so it can connect to the target server. Each node of the cluster is to be shared with the share name format \\serverNode\Qmmex$serverNode$ while still keeping \\serverNode\qmmexNode$.
The procedure for this is as follows:
Now when using the SFV, just attach to the corresponding node (not the virtual cluster name) and you will be able to connect and see the PRV/PUB files.
