To find out which items failed during MAGE synchronization, please do the following:
1) First of all, please find out problem mailbox ID by running the following SQL query over MMEX SQL database:
select ID, NAME, ALIAS from dbo.MAILBOX where NAME='[Specify_mailbox_display_name]'
or
select ID, NAME, ALIAS from dbo.MAILBOX where ALIAS='[Specify_mailbox_alias]'
Example: select ID, NAME, ALIAS from dbo.MAILBOX where ALIAS='JSmith'
In the ID column you'll see mailbox ID which you'll need to run the next query.
2) To display all failed items for mailbox, please run the query below. You need to specify the mailbox ID which you identified with the previous query in 'where MAILBOX_ID=' part:
select F.MAILBOX_ID, M.NAME, M.ALIAS, F.DISPLAY_NAME, I.FOLDER_PROCESSING_ID, F.WELL_KNOWN_FOLDER, I.ITEM_ID, I.SUBJECT, F.MESSAGE_SIZE, I.LAST_FAILED_TIME, I.REASON, F.ERROR_TEXT from ((dbo.FAILED_ITEM I join dbo.FOLDER_PROCESSING_INFO F on I.FOLDER_PROCESSING_ID = F.ID) join dbo.MAILBOX M on M.ID = F.MAILBOX_ID) where MAILBOX_ID=[Speicfy mailbox_ID which you identified with the query from point 1)]
Example:
select F.MAILBOX_ID, M.NAME, M.ALIAS, F.DISPLAY_NAME, I.FOLDER_PROCESSING_ID, F.WELL_KNOWN_FOLDER, I.ITEM_ID, I.SUBJECT, F.MESSAGE_SIZE, I.LAST_FAILED_TIME, I.REASON, F.ERROR_TEXT from ((dbo.FAILED_ITEM I join dbo.FOLDER_PROCESSING_INFO F on I.FOLDER_PROCESSING_ID = F.ID) join dbo.MAILBOX M on M.ID = F.MAILBOX_ID) where MAILBOX_ID=876
Alternatively, you can combine two queries and run:
select F.MAILBOX_ID, M.NAME, M.ALIAS, F.DISPLAY_NAME, I.FOLDER_PROCESSING_ID, F.WELL_KNOWN_FOLDER, I.ITEM_ID, I.SUBJECT, F.MESSAGE_SIZE, I.LAST_FAILED_TIME, I.REASON, F.ERROR_TEXT from ((dbo.FAILED_ITEM I join dbo.FOLDER_PROCESSING_INFO F on I.FOLDER_PROCESSING_ID = F.ID) join dbo.MAILBOX M on M.ID = F.MAILBOX_ID) where MAILBOX_ID in (select ID from dbo.MAILBOX where ALIAS='[Specify_mailbox_alias]')
As a result of the above queries you'll get a table listing mailbox (ID, name, alias), folder (display name, ID, etc.) and information about failed item such as its Subject, PR_Source_Key, etc.
For the list of skipped items please use following query:
select F.MAILBOX_ID, M.NAME, M.ALIAS, F.DISPLAY_NAME, I.SUBJECT, F.MESSAGE_SIZE from ((dbo.SKIPPED_ITEM I join dbo.FOLDER_PROCESSING_INFO F on I.FOLDER_PROCESSING_ID = F.ID) join dbo.MAILBOX M on M.ID = F.MAILBOX_ID) where MAILBOX_ID=''
**Please be aware that in the results of the query you will see a Message_size Column, this is not the actual size of individual messages but in fact the size of the batch the message was attempted to be migrated in. That is why you may see several messages all reporting the exact same size in the results.
