Resource Updating Manager (RUM) 8.4 and above may incorrectly update scheduled task and service account properties, if the samaccountname of the account was changed during migration using an import file.
This is a bug in the INI generation code of RUM 8.4 and above. If the target samaccountname is different than the source samaccountname, that user's entry in the vmover.ini file should contain both, as shown below:
1;sourceuser;1140;targetuser;;;1
However, in 8.4 and above, it contains the source samaccountname twice:
1;sourceuser;1140;sourceuser;;;1
Please install Update 20100710 described in the following article:
"Resource processing fails for services, DCOM, COM+, Scheduled Tasks and Internet Information Services (IIS) if the account used for these operations has the source sAMAccountName attribute value that differs from the corresponding target one."
