When the RUM(Resource updating manager) is used to move computers from source to target domain the computers gets moved successfully but the following error is displayed on the RUM console
Restarting\\ Access denied.
When reviewed the vmtotal.log the log contains
Computer \\computername was successfully moved.
One of the reasons this may happen is if the option is used to restart the computer is used within RUM and the remote system policy is enabled on the local workstation and the service account has no rights to shutdown the computer.
In order to resolve the problem please review the policy and if it is in force then ensure that the service account used is granted the required privilege.
GPO policy "Force shutdown from a remote system" can be located under GPO\Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment.
As a result of the above the computer does not get rebooted and the error is logged.
