Directory Synchronization Agent (DSA) should be able to generate the target legacyExchangeDN using the Target CN value instead of the source primary SMTP prefix.
The legacyExchangeDN value is generated from the Target CN value and a string that contains eight random digits, for example: the value of the Target CN attribute is "mailboxABC1" and the possible legacyExchangeDN value is "mailboxABC178564534". If any conflicts occur with the newly generated legacyExchangeDN value, the attribute will be regenerated with another string.
To turn the functionality on, add the following key to the registry (if it does not exist) with the UseTargetCNToGenerateTargetLEDNEnabled=1 registry value of the String type:
32-bit operating system: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Aelita\Migration Tools\CurrentVersion\Components\MBRedirector
64-bit operating system: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Aelita\Migration Tools\CurrentVersion\Components\MBRedirector
