Unable to connect to Metalogix Extensions Web Adapter receiving error: Can't find application path -
Description
Previously successfully able to make connections to the Metalogix Extensions Web Service Adapter [MEWS] and it is now not able to connect and receiving the following error meanwhile other connection adapters work.
Error: Server was unable to process request. ---> The type initializer for 'Metalogix.SharePoint.Adapters.Utils' threw and exception ---> Can't Find Application Path! Stack: at Metalogix.SharePoint.Adapters.MLWS.MLWSAdapter.ExecuteMethod(StringsMethodName, Object[] parameters)

Cause

Resolution
To create a sticky connection edit the host file of the machine where Content Matrix is installed to add the IP address of a WFE (not the Load Balancer address)
Host File Location: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts
Once completed, save the file and re-try connecting using MEWS.
Alternative workaround: Use another connection adapter like Database Adapter
