Resolution
There is a limited option to off-load files from a source SharePoint document library to a local file system or a shared drive.
1. Point on the source Document Library
2. Select the Items View Tab
3. Select the item of interest to download.
4. Right click to show the contextual menu.
5. Select 'Save Files to Disk..'
6. select location
and apply
